On Lammas, my fellow priestess and I decided to honor the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, focusing on the aspect of fire and the Sun.
After blessing each other and anointing our chakras, we started with an opening prayer. Before we even opened the circle, I went into a state.
I saw all of the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses gathered around a table (a rare site for me). They were searching for their loyal children.They saw many wearing symbols but could not find their devotees easily.Guards surround the sacred spaces, making the deities quite angry. Why should men hoard over the rights of the Priests and Priestesses? Why do they have to pay so much for moments before our sacred statues and buildings?
I saw a few deities trying to reach down to touch the earth but when they put their hand into the Earths sky, they were scraped by the wave-links of our modern world. It was horrible to see them hurt in such a way. As they drew their arms up, they cried.
This floored me - I was bawling uncontrollably. As my fellow priestess held me up, I saw the deities talking to Set. They called on him to free the way to their children. To shake up more sites and reveal more of their power and to keep terror groups away from the sacred lands of Egypt.
We were able to finish the ceremony, but the affects of the vision were still with me. Great anger and sadness are hard to rid oneself of. Thank the Gods and Goddesses that they have also helped me heal. When we give of ourselves, the deities give back. You may not see it at the time, but the devoted are never far from their love.
