Aphrodite's Bee and I prepared a Dark Moon ceremony for Hekate. As usual, we have a time where we dance to Wendy Rules "Hekate". As we started to dance, I was shaking a medicine rattle from Canada. As I let the dance take me, I felt overcome with strength. I felt Hekate merging with me and the rattle became a dagger that I was using to slash through the darkness that surrounded me.
After the song, she came with these words:
You have split me in half
I am half the Goddess that I could be to you
you deny my qualities
I am split in two
In these times, you need me
but you fail to understand my power
My temples lay neglected or abandoned
There are no offerings at the crossroads for the weary
You know me but do not use my light
I am split in half
You must remember my maidenhood
Have you been led astray?
Do you not see my light?
It is the source of my power
You must put me back together
I envisioned Hekate trying to cut through the darkness others have cast her in. Slicing through misconceptions and misuse, she is angry. As I sat down to regain my strength, I felt Hekate leave me but it felt like she was turning into a statue.
